Registration Open for Summer STEM Experience and Career Camps

Registration is now open for the Summer STEM Experience and Summer Career Camps. These camps, which take place the week of June 9-13, will be offered in the following areas:

• Robotics Camp for Grades 6-8
• Manufacturing Camp for Grades 9-12
• Adventures in Health Care Careers for Grades 9-11
• Public Safey Camp for Grades 9-12
• Careers in Salon & Spa Management for Grades 8-12

For more information or to register, visit the NACC website. But hurry! Enrollment is limited and the robotics camp completely filled up last year. Deadline to register is May 15.

Welcome New BEST Team: Cornerstone Christian Academy

We are pleased to welcome Cornerstone Christian Academy as the newest BEST team for 2014. The teacher is Mrs. Amy Roebuck. We are excited for Cornerstone to be part of the BEST family.

Brindlee Mountain Middle School is 1st Team Registered

Registration for BEST 2014 started on March 1 and Brindlee Mountain Middle School was first in line to register! Registration remains open until September 6, 2014 or until all spaces are full. Look at the right side of this page to see the list of teams as it grows. There is also a button for registration on the right side of each page on this site.

Congratulations to Brindlee Mountain Middle School for being the first to register. They were strong first-time competitors in 2013 so we look forward to seeing them compete in 2014.

2014 Registration Has Begun!

Registration for Northeast Alabama BEST Robotics 2014 has begun! Be sure to click the link on the right side of this page to register your team. Only one person (teacher) should register per team. As you register, we will start a list of teams!

2014 BEST Registration Begins March 1

Registration for 2014 Northeast Alabama BEST Robotics will begin March 1. Team registration takes place in two steps:

• The teacher or coach will register the team on EventBrite, indicating that you intend to participate and holding your spot in the competition. This also gives us an idea of how many to prepare for on Kick Off Day.
• Before Kick Off Day (and any time your team composition changes)  you will need to send to Nicole Carroll (carrolln@nacc.edu) a copy of your team roster and a signed release form for each participant. Everyone who participates (students, teachers, mentors) must be on the roster and turn in a signed release form.

Northeast Alabama BEST in Alabama Living

An article about Northeast Alabama BEST Robotics has been published in the February 2014 issue of Alabama Living Magazine that is distributed to members of the Sand Mountain Electric Co-op. This four-page spread includes two pages of text and two pages of photos. The photos are primarily of teams in the Sand Mountain Electric Co-op service area.
