Teams from ten schools across northeast Alabama converged on the Tom Bevill Lyceum on the NACC campus Saturday to kick off the 2012 BEST Robotics competition.
Teams participating in this year's competition include:
- Marshall Technical School
- Scottsboro High School
- Woodville High School
- Pisgah High School
- North Jackson High School
- Fort Payne High School
- Ider High School
- Fyffe High School
- North Sand Mountain High School
- DeKalb County Technology Center
At the kick off, each team is given a box of parts and a problem to solve. Their job is to solve the problem using only items that are provided for them. The next event is Practice Day, where teams will be given time to practice driving their robots on the playing field.
