#paydirt 2015 New Awards for 2015

Northeast Alabama BEST Robotics is excited to announce two new awards for 2015. One is a local award and one is a BEST, Inc. award. 

The local award is the Cool Tools & More BEST Middle School Team award. Now that we have three middle school teams competing, we are pleased to offer this award for the middle school team that attains the highest BEST Award score. But who knows, that middle school team might rank higher in BEST Award than some of the high school teams...

The Software Design and Simulation Award is presented to the team that is able to describe and
articulate their software design process, techniques and experiences in their Project Engineering
Notebook. It is intended to recognize teams who understand that “programming” is an essential part of their overall robot design and requires just as much thought as the mechanical/electrical design.

The team scoring the highest in the Software Design and Simulation portion of the Project Engineering Notebook evaluation at each hub will receive this award and be entered into a nationwide drawing for one of (3) three $1000 cash awards, to be announced at the conclusion of all local hub competitions. A separate score sheet is provided for evaluating the Software Design and Simulation portion of the Project Engineering Notebook.

Northeast Alabama BEST is pleased to welcome new sponsor, Cool Tools & More to the BEST family. Cool Tools & More is located just southwest of the red light in Sylvania and is open on Fridays and Saturdays.

What do they sell? Well...cool tools and more. Check out their Facebook page for updates about new items in the store. A quick look at their page shows that they have laundry detergent as a fundraising item for groups (fundraising idea for BEST teams), NCAA game day merchandise, heaters, camo clothing, and more.
